Data inventory

The protection of personal data (e.g. name, address, eMail address) is an important concern of ours. The collection and use of this data takes place solely within the scope of the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act, the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the EU Data Protection Regulation insofar as this is necessary for the establishment, content organisation or alteration of the two-party contractual relationship (data inventory).

Usage data

By accessing our internet website, user data including an IP-address is generated which is stored for security purposes and to permit possible identification. To enable you to avail yourself of our internet offer or to settle an account we are entitled to collect and use this data.

Forwarding of personal data to a third party

The forwarding of your personal data to a third party does not take place without your express consent where this is not necessary for the performance of a service or for contract implementation. Beyond this we reserve the right in safeguarding our legitimate interests to obtain a credit report from CRIF GmbH, Creditreform, Dun & Bradstreet Deutschland GmbH (D&B) or Creditsafe Deutschland GmbH. The scope of the data forwarded is thereby limited to a minimum. Even the forwarding of data to state institutions and authorities entitled to receive information takes place only within the scope of statutory duties to inform or if we are obligated due to a court decision.

Cookies

In designing our website to make its use convenient for you, we use so-called cookies in our own areas. Cookies are "answer backs" with the aid of which data can be saved on your computer when you access our internet site. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you have the option of deactivating the saving of cookies by means of the corresponding settings on your browser.

Information, authorisation, blocking and deleting

You have the right to information, correction, blocking or deletion of your stored data at any time, provided that the deletion does not conflict with statutory, contractual or commercial retention periods or reasons. YouTube

Our site uses the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, for embedding relevant videos, represented by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Normally, when you visit a page with embedded videos, your IP address is sent to YouTube, and cookies are installed on your computer. However, we have embedded our YouTube videos with the enhanced privacy mode (in this case, YouTube still contacts the Double Click service from Google, but, according to Google's privacy policy, personal data is not evaluated). As a result, YouTube no longer stores information about visitors unless they watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address will be transmitted to YouTube, and YouTube will be informed that you have viewed the video. If you are logged into YouTube, this information will also be associated with your user account (you can prevent this by logging out of YouTube before accessing the video). We have no knowledge of and no influence on the collection and use of your data by YouTube. For more information, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy at www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. Additionally, for general information on handling and disabling cookies, please refer to our general presentation in this privacy policy.

Data collection from applicants, processing of applicant data

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of the application. Only the responsible officers and decision-makers in our company have access to the documents. Your application will only be shared with your consent for other job openings within our company.

We retain your application documents for a minimum of six months after the completion of the selection process or any potential employment. You have the right to request the deletion of any data or the return/destruction of physical documents after that period. Any retention due to legal obligations, data in backup copies, or retention for legitimate interests remains unaffected. If you do not agree with the storage and deletion policy, please refrain from submitting your application. You can also apply by telephone appointment or in person.

According to Article 4 No. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), your personal data includes all information relating to you that can be attributed to your person, particularly through identification such as a name or applicant number, which can identify you within the company.

We collect, process, and use your personal data exclusively for the purposes of the application or employment. Processing of your data for purposes other than those mentioned will only occur if these processing activities are permissible under Article 6(4) of the GDPR and compatible with the original purposes. We will inform you about such further processing of your data.

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored about you, the purposes of processing, any disclosures to other entities, and the duration of storage. To exercise your right to information, you can also receive extracts or copies. If data is inaccurate or no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, you can request rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing.

If there are reasons based on your particular personal situation that speak against the processing of your personal data, and if the processing is based on a legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing. In such a case, we will only process your data if there are compelling legitimate grounds. If you have any questions regarding your rights and how to exercise them, please contact the HR department or the data protection officer.

Your data is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). This means that we need and process your data for the purpose of potential employment.

In individual cases, we may seek your consent for the processing or transmission of your data. This may occur, for example, if we retain your application for a longer period or consider your application for another position within our company. Your consent is voluntary in these cases and can be revoked by you at any time for the future.

We, Gebr. Recknagel Präzisionsstahl GmbH and Recknagel Präzisionsstahl GmbH, are the competent and responsible entities for the collection, processing, and use of your personal data. The applicant data may be stored and processed in personnel data processing systems, including third-party data processors. The technical setup is designed in such a way that only a narrow circle of specifically authorized persons has access, and any other access or knowledge of the data is excluded according to the state of the art.

If you have concerns or questions about the processing of your personal data and information, you can contact the HR department or the data protection officer.
